#1 Washington State Fair

Located in Puyallup, the Washington State Fair is a fun event for the entire family. At the fair, you’ll be able to enjoy a wide variety of foods, competitions and more. In addition, you can attend outdoor concerts, which we consider is a great experience.

The Washington State Fair hosts two annual events, the 20-day Washington State Fair every September, and a four-day Spring Fair in Puyallup every April.

#2 Emerald City Comic Con

The sea of incredible costumes is a high point of any con. This year’s ECCC also features Chris Roberson, G. Willow Wilson, Jim Lee, and more in the lineup of comic artists, writers and actors participating in panel discussions, photo ops and signing sessions. Times and prices vary. #3 Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

An hour north of Seattle, acres and acres of tulips and daffodils cover the Skagit Valley with broad swaths of color each spring, creating an enchanting landscape. Lots of festivities. The tulip festival lasts the entire month of April.

#4 Oktoberfest

About 2 hours East of Seattle, you’ll find the Bavarian town of Leavenworth. Come in October to enjoy the Oktoberfest festivities. The town is decorated with Christmas decorations and you may even get to play in the snow. The views, coupled with the food and the warmth of the people, is the reason why we recommend the visit.

#5 Seafair

Seattle is surrounded by water, consequently, this makes Seafair the biggest Seattle event of the year. Enjoy daily festivities, parades, hydroplane boat races, an air show with the Navy’s Blue Angels, Torchlight Parade, open house on naval ships and much more! Events take place in various areas around Seattle. The event runs from early July to early August.

#6 Northwest Folklife Festival

This is one of the largest folklife festivals in the country! Dozens of national and regional folk musicians perform on numerous stages. You’ll also find crafts vendors from all over the Pacific Northwest, tons of delicious food, street performances, and dancing. It’s a great event for the entire family. The festival is located at the Seattle Center and is held during Memorial Day weekend.
